In the afternoon, Cathy Trischan, CPCU, CIC, AU,
AAI, CRM, CRIS, was the instructor for Errors & Omissions:
Reducing the risk, a seminar that reviewed the costs of E&O
to an agency; sources of E&O claims; actions that agencies should
and should not take when facing an E&O situation; and a look at
the overall claims process. The class offered specific measures to help
an agency reduce the probability of a successful E&O claim being
made against it.
“Errors and omissions claims are on the rise and agents throughout
the industry want to know how to protect themselves in these litigious
times. Additionally, new mandatory flood requirements bring the necessity
of flood CE to every agency,” said Cracco. “MetroRAP is
proud to have offered timely and relevant education sessions concerning
these issues.”
