Matthew F. Guilbault, Esq.
Director of Government & Industry Affairs

Matthew F. Guilbault, Esq., served as government affairs counsel for PIA prior to becoming director of government and industry affairs. In his position, Mr. Guilbault is responsible for all government relations and insurance industry liaison programs for the four state associations. He works with boards and legislative committees in each state to establish coherent legislative objectives and implementation strategies. Mr. Guilbault and his staff maintain regular relations with industry groups and the four-state insurance departments, ensuring input into the regulatory process and a means to facilitate the resolution of members' problems.

Mr. Guilbault has over 10 years of legal and association background, as well as experience as principal of his self-named government affairs organization, a full-service client advocacy, lobbying, communications and public relations firm. He is a 2003 graduate of Albany Law School of Union University and received his bachelor of arts degree from the College of Saint Rose.
